JOB OPEN­INGS The Centreville Branch has two job open­ings for a part-time book­keeper and a part-time cus­tomer ser­vice po­si­tion.

The part-time book­keeper will work up to 17 hours weekly. The can­di­date must have 5+ years ex­pe­ri­ence, ex­ten­sive knowl­edge of Quick­books and pro­fi­cient in Mi­crosoft Ex­cel. Du­ties in­clude pay­roll, ac­counts payable, ac­counts re­ceiv­able, record keep­ing, gen­er­at­ing fi­nan­cial and bud­get re­ports, and co­or­di­nat­ing state re­tire­ment pro­gram. The Li­brary Pub­lic Ser­vice po­si­tion must have strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and be de­tailed ori­ented. Ba­sic com­puter knowl­edge re­quired. It is part-time on Wed­nes­days, 5 to 8 p.m. al­ter­nat­ing Tues­days 5 to 8 p.m. and al­ter­nat­ing Sun­days 1 to 4 p.m. (dur­ing the school year). WORK­SHOP You may sign up for the Beaded Ear­rings Work­shop on­line at qa­cli­ It will be held on Thurs­day, March 2, at 6 p.m. In this fun, be­gin­ner jew­elry class, artist and in­struc­tor Melissa Kay-Steves will teach stu­dents how to forge ear­rings us­ing cop­per wire and then wrap with beads for an added pop of color. They will also learn how to fab­ri­cate ear­ring wires all us­ing ba­sic tools. All sup­plies are pro­vided and tools to share. Bring along round nose pli­ers and wire cut­ters if you have them.
