Self-defense class for seniors offered
GRASONVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Senior Centers are offering self defense classes at the various locations. The one-hour class teaches basic and easy-tolearn personal protection techniques to defend and escape from attackers. Individuals also will learn safety and awareness strategies, as well as how to use the cane and other items as self-defense tools.
Advance registration is required about a week before. Register at senior center. Minimum of 10 required for class to run. Cost: $5 per person per class.
Upcoming classes are 9 to 10 a.m. Feb. 28 at Grasonville Senior Center; 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. March 27 at Sudlersville Senior Center; and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 26 at Kent Island Senior Center.
