County offers new ways to pay your bills
CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County citizens may now pay real property tax and water and sewer bills online at qac.org. Property Tax To pay your property tax bill you will need either the 10-digit Property ID or the property address.
There are additional fees for this service. The new Real Property Tax Payment System fees are collected by an outside vendor and will appear as a second charge on your statement.
There are several ways to pay, each with a different cost. The least expensive is to pay by E-Checks, and there is a flat fee of 50 cents. To pay by credit and debit cards, there is a fee of 2.39 percent of the amount charged. Water and Sewer Bills In addition to paying your water and sewer bill online, you may also pay via phone by calling 844-241-6740.
Whether paying water and sewer bills online or by phone there are additional outside vendor charges that will appear on your bill.
Again, E-Checks cost 50 cents. Credit and debit cards will be charged $2.25 for transactions up to $150 or $6.25 for transactions over $150.
Utility billing transactions are limited to $400; however, you may make multiple payments
Citizens can also now pay by credit/debit card at the Treasury counter of the Finance office at 107 N. Liberty St. in Centreville and pay for permits at the Planning and Zoning Office at 110 Vincit St. in Centreville.
The new online payment options went live Feb. 27.
