K-9 finds run­away

CENTREVILLE — On Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. Trooper Justin Daigle of the Mary­land State Po­lice Centreville Bar­racks re­sponded to the area of the Bay Area Welcome Cen­ter in Queen Anne’s County for a re­port of a miss­ing teenage fe­male. The miss­ing ju­ve­nile was re­ported as a run­away.

Se­nior Trooper Tyler Wi­est and K-9 Gra­cie, a cer­ti­fied track­ing ca­nine blood­hound, ar­rived on-scene to as­sist along with Trooper Jonathan Stoltz­fus and Trooper First Class Todd Schillaci. As a re­sult of the K-9 track, the miss­ing girl was found safe and re­turned to her fam­ily.
