Se­nior Expo set for March 22

EASTON — The Se­nior Expo, spon­sored by The Star Demo­crat, will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wed­nes­day, March 22, at Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege in the Health Pro­fes­sions and Ath­letic Cen­ter build­ing. This event is free and open to the pub­lic.

The Se­nior Expo show­cases 50 ven­dors rep­re­sent­ing the full gamut of re­sources in­clud­ing life­style, wellness, hous­ing, ag­ing in place, fi­nance, real es­tate, le­gal, med­i­cal and many other re­sources.

“This event is a live ex­ten­sion of The Se­nior Re­source Guide, an an­nual di­rec­tory pub­lished in co­or­di­na­tion with the county of­fices of ag­ing and Mary­land Ac­cess Point (MAP) of­fices,” said Betsy Grif­fin, Se­nior Expo di­rec­tor. “At­ten­dees will have the op­por­tu­nity to have face time with each ven­dor to ask per­son­al­ized ques­tions to the ex­perts fea­tured in the re­source guide.”

A ro­bust speaker break out sched­ule has ses­sions that in­clude rel­e­vant top­ics, like main­tain­ing brain fit­ness, ag­ing in place/home care, AARP fraud watch net­work, cre­ma­tion con­sid­er­a­tions and ad­vance­ments in car­dio­vas­cu­lar ser­vices close to home.

Dr. Memo Diriker, with Bea­con/Per­due School of Busi­ness at Sal­is­bury Univer­sity, will be present “Boomers and Robots: What the Work­force of To­mor­row will Look Like.”

Com­pli­men­tary blood pres­sure and hear­ing tests will be avail­able on site.
