Senior Expo set for March 22
EASTON — The Senior Expo, sponsored by The Star Democrat, will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Chesapeake College in the Health Professions and Athletic Center building. This event is free and open to the public.
The Senior Expo showcases 50 vendors representing the full gamut of resources including lifestyle, wellness, housing, aging in place, finance, real estate, legal, medical and many other resources.
“This event is a live extension of The Senior Resource Guide, an annual directory published in coordination with the county offices of aging and Maryland Access Point (MAP) offices,” said Betsy Griffin, Senior Expo director. “Attendees will have the opportunity to have face time with each vendor to ask personalized questions to the experts featured in the resource guide.”
A robust speaker break out schedule has sessions that include relevant topics, like maintaining brain fitness, aging in place/home care, AARP fraud watch network, cremation considerations and advancements in cardiovascular services close to home.
Dr. Memo Diriker, with Beacon/Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, will be present “Boomers and Robots: What the Workforce of Tomorrow will Look Like.”
Complimentary blood pressure and hearing tests will be available on site.
