GES hosts an­nual tal­ent show

GRASONVILLE — Grasonville El­e­men­tary School was packed with tal­ented stu­dents from kin­der­garten to fifth grade await­ing their turn to shine on stage for the school’s an­nual tal­ent show held on Fri­day, March 3.

Mu­sic Direc­tor Jamie Dean pre­pared the 109 par­tic­i­pat­ing stu­dents to sing, dance, tell jokes, play in­stru­ments and var­i­ous other acts be­fore a packed house.

Stage direc­tor and third grade teacher Ce­cilia Mitchell was the vi­sion­ary for the set de­pict­ing a garage, which sparkled be­hind each act.

Par­ent vol­un­teers and gen­er­ous community do­na­tions made the “garage stage” come to life. The school thanks the Red­graves fam­ily, Meise fam­ily, Rat­zow fam­ily and Bal­braith fam­ily for their cre­ative con­struc­tion of the set.

The night ended with staff body stock­ing dance and bal­loon drop.
