QACHS alumni offering three $1000 scholarships
CENTREVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County High School Alumni Association will award three $1,000 scholarships in May 2017 to deserving high school graduates to further their education at institutions of higher learning.
Applicants must be current members of the QACHS Alumni Association, a direct descendant or a legally adopted descendant (child or grandchild) of a member of the QACHS Alumni Association, and must be in good standing. Applicants must be officially accepted into an accredited program or certificate program at a U.S. college or university.
Selections will be made by the QACHS Alumni Association Scholarship Selection Committee. The official awards will be presented in May.
This scholarship is not renewable and is not open to previous QACHS Alumni Association scholarship recipients. Previous applicants who did not receive this scholarship may reapply.
The recipient will be required to notify the alumni association of his/her final school choice. The award will be sent directly to the college upon verification of the student’s enrollment. Applications may be obtained from the guidance offices of Queen Anne’s County High School or Kent Island High School. Applications for students from other schools or for former graduates also may be downloaded from the QACHS Parents website at qacps.schoolwires.net/domain/1572.
Completed application packages must be postmarked by April 15. Late applications will not be considered.
