Students participate in Future Chef Challenge
GRASONVILLE — Four Grasonville Elementary School finalists participated in Sodexo’s “Future Chef Challenge.” This contest challenges future chefs to use their creativity and culinary skills to make healthy, comfort food recipes.
The students submitted detailed recipes and worked with Sodexo employees, a food services and facilities management company, to create their yummy recipes. The students were judged by various faculty members at the school along with Sodexo employees.
Kaitlin Keegan made a batch of her “Kady’s Chicken Soup.” Samantha Judge worked hard and made her “Apple Zucchini Mini Muffins.” Second place finisher Hunter Wooten made his combination of grilled cheese roll-ups paired with tomato soup. Cara Steele, sliced and diced her way to a first place finish with her breakfast burrito. All of the students won various culinary prizes given to them from Sodexo.
