Grinberg scored a pair of goals in the final minute of the third quarter to pull the Cougars within 11-9. But a non-releasable 3-minute penalty for a stick violation on Grinberg allowed the Lions to regroup. Gill scored with a bouncer inside the far post for a 12-9 lead.
The Cougars kept fighting. Goals by Levin and Grinberg made it 12-11 with 5:54 to play. Sophomore Will Colburn spun, dodged two defenders and scored for Queen Anne’s to make it 13-11 at 3:32 to set up the last-minute action. Colburn finished with a pair of goals.
