Jeep Wrangler overturns in Church Hill
CHURCH HILL — About 6 p.m. April 17, the operator of 2014 Jeep Wrangler lost control of his vehicle and it crashed into a utility pole on Price Station Road near the intersection of Flat Iron Road.
According to a preliminar y report from the Maryland State Police, Cody Thomas of Chester was attempting to adjust the temperature controls in the vehicle when he lost control of the Jeep and it left the road, striking a pole and overturning.
Units from MSP, Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Queen Anne’s County EMS responded.
Engine 52 arrived on the scene to find the driver had gotten himself out of the vehicle, according to the fire department. After being evaluated by EMS, Thomas was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
No other vehicles were involved.
WYE MILLS — What appears to be the working control unit for a drone was found on the side of MD 213 near US 50 in Wye Mills at 8:20 a.m. Feb. 13. The item was turned in to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office. If someone has lost such an item, he or she can contact the property room at 410-758-0770, ext. 1219, to identify and claim it.
