GRASONVILLE — Two peo­ple were charged with drug pos­ses­sion af­ter their car was stopped on March 30, ac­cord­ing to the Queen Anne’s Count Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

A deputy pulled over a 2005 Dodge Charger trav­el­ing on Main Street be­cause he rec­og­nized the driver, Brit­tany Lynn Bar­rett, 26, of Ch­ester, and knew he driver’s li­cense was sus­pended, po­lice said. When ques­tioned, Bar­rett told the deputy she was aware but was only go­ing a short dis­tance, po­lice said.

A Mary­land State Po­lice K-9 scan alerted for drugs, and po­lice found sus­pected co­caine and heroin residue on mul­ti­ple bag­gies, po­lice said.

Bar­rett and pas­sen­ger Chase Andrew Martell, 21, of Cen­tre­ville, were both charged with pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia and pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance not mar­i­juana.

Bar­rett was also charged with driv­ing on a sus­pended li­cense, po­lice said.

QUEEN­STOWN — A sum­mons was is­sued for a Delaware man af­ter the Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice re­sponded the Queen­stown Pre­mium Out­lets for an al­ter­ca­tion in the park­ing lot.

Andrew D. Do­ran, 24, of Lin­coln, Del., and Ita­mar Braga of Hanover had met there around 3:30 p.m. to ex­change chil­dren for vis­i­ta­tion pur­poses. An ar­gu­ment en­sued, and Do­ran al­legedly grabbed Braga’s arm and de­manded Braga apol­o­gize to his wife. When Braga re­fused, Do­ran al­legedly head-butted Braga and want to start a fight, but Braga walked away, po­lice said.

A sum­mons was is­sued charg­ing Do­ran with two counts of sec­ond-de­gree as­sault. Atrial is set for April 27 in Queen Anne’s County Dis­trict Court.
