GRASONVILLE — Two people were charged with drug possession after their car was stopped on March 30, according to the Queen Anne’s Count Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy pulled over a 2005 Dodge Charger traveling on Main Street because he recognized the driver, Brittany Lynn Barrett, 26, of Chester, and knew he driver’s license was suspended, police said. When questioned, Barrett told the deputy she was aware but was only going a short distance, police said.
A Maryland State Police K-9 scan alerted for drugs, and police found suspected cocaine and heroin residue on multiple baggies, police said.
Barrett and passenger Chase Andrew Martell, 21, of Centreville, were both charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of controlled dangerous substance not marijuana.
Barrett was also charged with driving on a suspended license, police said.

QUEENSTOWN — A summons was issued for a Delaware man after the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office responded the Queenstown Premium Outlets for an altercation in the parking lot.
Andrew D. Doran, 24, of Lincoln, Del., and Itamar Braga of Hanover had met there around 3:30 p.m. to exchange children for visitation purposes. An argument ensued, and Doran allegedly grabbed Braga’s arm and demanded Braga apologize to his wife. When Braga refused, Doran allegedly head-butted Braga and want to start a fight, but Braga walked away, police said.
A summons was issued charging Doran with two counts of second-degree assault. Atrial is set for April 27 in Queen Anne’s County District Court.
