GLEN BURNIE — The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration will close all offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations on Saturday, April 22, to allow for statewide MVA computer upgrades to allow us to better serve customers. Customers will not be able to conduct web or self-ser vice kiosk transactions beginning Saturday, April 22, at 12:01 a.m. until Sunday, April 23, at noon. MVA’s 10 self-service VEIP kiosks will remain open.
CENTREVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County 4-H Marksmanship Team will sponsor a LuLaRoe fundraiser from 1 to 3 April 22 at the Queen Anne’s County 4-H Park. The fundraiser is to benefit the Allan Sissom Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Beth and Jeff Sissom set up this fund when their son was tragically killed in an automobile crash a year and a half ago. The scholarship is set up for students at Kent Island High School and Queen Anne’s County High School who wish to pursue welding at Chesapeake College.
There will be door prizes, raffles, food and kids activities.
