State Police said that Judy Leonard, a sixth-grade student at Centreville Middle School, was taken to the Kent and Queen Anne’s Hospital in Chestertown where she was treated and released. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Leonard of Kings Town. She is 13.
Police said the bus was driven by Emile Moore, 59, of Church Hill, and was proceeding east on Barclay Road about 3:45 p.m. and rounding a slight curve to the left. The vehicle ran off the right side of the macadam surface, into a ditch and struck a small tree. The buss then toppled over on its right side.
