Almost 200 students competed in the event and were able to demonstrate their knowledge of financial topics while they competed for cash prizes.
Sudler ville Middle School’s Thunderbirds 2 team took second place in the M&T Bank Personal Finance Challenge Bowl, winning $75. The team included Maddie Blouch, Nathan Olah, Hugh Lesniowski and Andrew Williams. The team was advised by David Wilson.
MCEE created the Personal Finance Challenge as an opportunity for middle and high school students to demonstrate their personal finance knowledge on topics such as spending and credit, savings and investing, and income and money management in a competition with students from across the state. Augie Chiasera, president of M&T Bank’s Baltimore and Chesapeake regions, addressed both the students and the attendees at the event.
