ADULT EXPLORERS This special program in June is targeted at adults with special needs or learning disabilities. You can paint, color, build and create. Discover your creative side, make new friends and have fun when you join us for an hour of unstructured exploration on June 1 from 2:30 to 4 p.m.; again on June 15 and June 29 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. MAY 21 The whole family will want to be at the Library on May 21 for the 5th annual Pet-APalooza, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will have prizes, a puppet show, silly songs with Sam, animal rescue groups, along with animal care experts, plus some 30 vendors.

••• LIBRARIES CLOSED Both county libraries will be closed all day Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. ••• MOVIE MAY 19 The free May movie at the Library is “La La Land” and will be shown at 2 p.m. It stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.
••• NEW BOOK CLUB The Library’s new NovelTea Book Club will be held on May 17 at 6 pm. This will be a loose format club where you meet with other book lovers to discuss books you are reading, books you loved and even books you hated.
••• BOOK TALK, MAY 20 The second in a series of book talks featuring murder, mystery and mayhem with a distinctive British flavor will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 3 to 4 p.m. Enjoy a cup of tea while Kathleen introduces you to a variety of authors and series that you might have overlooked in your library browsing. You might even discover a new detective. Registration is suggested.
