Centreville Farm­ers Mar­ket open for sea­son

CENTREVILLE — Spring fruits and veg­eta­bles, as­para­gus and straw­ber­ries, bed­ding plants and the like are in sea­son now lo­cally. But the Centreville Farm­ers’ Mar­ket is off to a slow start. The mar­ket is open 2 to 6 p.m. on Wed­nes­days and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Satur­days at Com­merce Street and Lawyers Row in Centreville.

Un­pred­i­cat­able weather has dis­cour­aged at­ten­dance, but ven­dors are hope­ful that traf­fic will in­crease soon. Fresh veg­eta­bles, baked goods, plants and hand crafted items are avail­able, as in years past, with a few new ad­di­tions this sea­son.
