Centreville Farmers Market open for season
CENTREVILLE — Spring fruits and vegetables, asparagus and strawberries, bedding plants and the like are in season now locally. But the Centreville Farmers’ Market is off to a slow start. The market is open 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at Commerce Street and Lawyers Row in Centreville.
Unpredicatable weather has discouraged attendance, but vendors are hopeful that traffic will increase soon. Fresh vegetables, baked goods, plants and hand crafted items are available, as in years past, with a few new additions this season.
