Gra­sonville man faces drug charges

CH­ESTER — A pas­sen­ger in a Dodge Charger pulled over by Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice deputies for a mi­nor traf­fic in­frac­tion was ar­rested and charged with mul­ti­ple counts of pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stances, ac­cord­ing to po­lice.

Brian Labar Tay­lor, 31, of Gra­sonville, was placed un­der ar­rest for mul­ti­ple out­stand­ing war­rants and, when searched, deputies found less than 10 grams of mar­i­juana, sus­pected co­caine, 21 Clon­azepam pills, three rect­an­gle blue pills and sev­eral empty plas­tic bags on his per­son, po­lice said.

The car was stopped on Route 18 at Cas­tle Ma­rina Road at 2:13 p.m., po­lice said.

Tay­lor was charged with pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance with in­tent to dis­trib­ute, two counts of pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance not mar­i­juana, and pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia, po­lice said.

The ve­hi­cle driver, iden­ti­fied as Brit­tany Lynn Bar­rett of Cen­tre­ville, was is­sued ci­ta­tions for driv­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle with a sus­pended or re­voked li­cense and fail­ure to dis­play li­cense upon de­mand, po­lice said.
