CENTREVILLE — The Methodist Women of Centreville’s United Methodist Church hosted a plant sale and luncheon on Saturday, May 13. It was the first of what they hope will be an annual event, said coordinator Phyllis Hofmann.

Lunch was provided by Susie’s Kitchen of Barclay, along with many beautiful cut flowers, potted plants and floral arrangements available or sale that day. There was also a table with small gifts and jewelry.

The sale was held to support the Methodist’s Women’s Scholarship fund. Each year, said Hofmann, they receive applications from seniors who are active in the church. The scholarships will be awarded to the 2017 graduating seniors around the first of June.
