LIBRARIES CLOSED Both Queen Anne’s County libraries in Centreville and on Kent Island will be closed all day Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
••• DATE CHANGED One date has been changed in the Adult Explorers program, now set at the Library for June 5 and June 15. The time for June 5 is 2:30 to 4 p.m. and on June 15, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. You can register online at qaclibrary. org.
This program is targeted at adults with special needs or learning disabilities. Paint, color, build and create! Discover your creative side, make new friends, and have fun when you join us for an hour of unstructured exploration.
••• NEW FURNISHINGS Be sure to look over all the new furnishings in the Library, especially the nice-looking over-stuffed chairs to read in.
••• USED BOOK NOOK Have you noticed the Used Book Nook lately when you enter the front lobby? It is handled by the Friends of the Library and you can find good books at discounted prices.
••• ZINIO HERO ONLINE Zinio is an online digital magazine service now available to all Queen Anne’s County Library cardholders. The library edition offers free digital subscriptions to over 150 popular magazines including Consumers Reports, Country Living, Rolling Stone, and Newsweek to name a few. Find the Zinio link on the Library webpage. You can view the magazines on any internet capable device including your PC, Mac, iPhone, Android device and Kindle Fire.
