‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ tours Shore
RIDGELY — Shore Shakespeare will take its production of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on a five-county tour in June.
Directed by Christian Rogers and produced by Shelagh Grasso, the production highlights the talents of Patrick Fee, Avra Sullivan, Brian McGunigle and Colleen Minahan, with Christine Kinlock, Heather Oland, Robbie Spray, Troy Strootman, Lindsey Hammer and Greg Minahan. They are joined by Josh Hanson, John Terebey, Jane Terebey and Sarah Gorman.
Choreography and original music are by Greg Minahan, with magic direction by Ian Flinn. Costumes are designed by Barbi Bedell.
In keeping with the Elizabethanera theater-going experience, performances will be staged outdoors.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” written in 1596, will open at Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, with performances at 6 p.m. June 2 and 3, and 3 p.m. June 4. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased online at www.adkinsarboretum.org.
The rest of the performances are free — 6 p.m. June 9 and 10 at the Oxford Community Center; 3 p.m. June 11 at Idlewild Park in Easton; 6 p.m. June 16 at Long Wharf Park in Cambridge; 6 p.m. June 17 and 3 p.m. June 18 on the Cray House lawn in Stevensville; and 6 p.m. June 23 and 3 p.m. June 25 at Wilmer Park in Chestertown.
Donations will be accepted but are not required.
