New chil­dren’s cho­rus form­ing

EASTON — The Al­le­gro Chil­dren’s Cho­rus will be launched on the Eastern Shore of Mary­land in Fall 2017. The Cho­rus will pro­vide a su­pe­rior mu­sic ed­u­ca­tion and choral ex­pe­ri­ence for youth in grades 4-12 with two groups, a ju­nior cho­rus grades 4-7, and a se­nior cho­rus grades 8-12. All youth in Tal­bot, Dorch­ester, Caro­line, Kent, Queen Anne’s coun­ties, and sur­round­ing ar­eas are in­vited to sing.

Singers will gather weekly for re­hearsals at Trin­ity Cathe­dral in Easton and pre­pare mu­sic for sea­sonal and com­mu­nity events. The Chil­dren’s Cho­rus will be un­der the di­rec­tion of Amy Mor­gan, who holds mu­sic de­grees from Sal­is­bury Univer­sity and Mes­siah Col­lege and serves as Mu­sic Di­rec­tor of Trin­ity Cathe­dral.

Par­tic­i­pants will pay a fee of $125 each se­mes­ter, Septem­ber-De­cem­ber and Fe­bru­ary-May, and will be pro­vided with con­cert at­tire. Full schol­ar­ships are avail­able through Al­le­gro, a mu­sic out­reach pro­gram at Trin­ity Cathe­dral in Easton.
