LIBRARY RE-OPENING There will be a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, as the Centreville Branch holds its grand reopening. We will have amazing cupcakes for all, will do a building bingo and hand out commemorative glasses until the supplies run out. Friends of the Queen Anne’s County Library will sponsor a kids craft and book sale during the afternoon, all running from 1 to 4 p.m.
••• BOOKS IN BARS We will be holding a book discussion on Peter Heller’s new novel, “The Painter,” at Ram’s Head Shore House, just across the road from the Kent Island Library on Tuesday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be a fun and social time along with the book discussion. Drinks and dinner are ordered before the conversation begins. Call Kim at 410-758-0980 with any questions.
NEEDED You must register for the July 19 DIY Workshop on Chalkboards at the Library beginning at 6 p.m. Create a great piece to put in your house or decorate your patio. Get a chance to be hands-on with tools and tell everyone you made it yourself. Lettering may be part of the class to create a beautiful lasting phrase on your chalkboard. Registration closes one week prior to the workshop.
