Hospice names Kader volunteer of the month
CENTREVILLE — Compass Regional Hospice has named Jean Kader of Wye Mills as the most recent volunteer of the month.
As a patient care volunteer, Kader provides emotional support and practical assistance to hospice patients and their families. Kader is also a familiar face at the front desk where she can be found helping with a variety of administrative tasks.
“As someone who likes to keep busy, Jean is known for balancing a few different Compass Regional Hospice projects at a time,” Courtney Williams, manager of volunteer and professional services, said in a news release. “We know we can count on Jean to offer professional support in our office whenever we need her, she’s so flexible and willing to jump in wherever.”
Compass Regional Hospice relies on more than 300 volunteers of all ages to lend a helping hand. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, such as performing administrative and maintenance tasks, assisting with events, visiting patients and more. Volunteers also operate Estate Treasures, an upscale resale shop in Chester that raises funds for Compass Regional Hospice.
