A.M. Gravely Gallery fea­tures ‘A Brush with Sum­mer’ show

ST. MICHAELS — “A Brush with Sum­mer,” fea­tur­ing mem­bers of The Work­ing Artists Fo­rum, is open at the A.M. Gravely Gallery, 408 S. Tal­bot Street, St. Michaels, and will run through July 30.

The Work­ing Artists Fo­rum is a non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion of 90 pro­fes­sional work­ing artists from the East­ern Shore and sur­round­ing ar­eas who meet monthly at the Academy Art Mu­seum in Eas­ton for lec­tures, cri­tiques and demon­stra­tions and ex­hibit their work in a va­ri­ety of venues through­out the year.

Mem­ber­ship is es­tab­lished by a jury com­posed of fel­low artists. WAF mem­bers ac­tively ex­hibit their work sep­a­rately and to­gether, and have pieces in both pri­vate and cor­po­rate col­lec­tions through­out the United States and in­ter­na­tion­ally.

For this show, mem­ber artists of The Work­ing Artists Fo­rum are dis­play­ing orig­i­nal paint­ings in oil, wa­ter­color, acrylic, and pas­tel, along with works in pen and ink, mixed me­dia and print­mak­ing. The A.M. Gravely Gallery is lo­cated in a re­stored Vic­to­rian home built in 1860 and on the Mary­land His­toric Reg­is­ter. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fri­day and Satur­day and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun­day through Tues­day.
