Joseph E. Trossbach
PRICE — Joseph Eugene Trossbach died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at University of Maryland Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chestertown. He was 78.
Born on Nov. 9, 1938, in St. Inigoes, St. Mary’s County, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph Eugene Sr. and Lillian M. Biscoe. He attended St. Michael School in St. Mary’s County. He worked on the family’s farm. He married Gloria J. Wood on June 14, 1958, they moved to Anne Arundel County, where he worked with Mathias Muller Landscaping during Route 301 construction. He then operated heavy equipment for Haverhill Construction for many years. He and his wife moved to Price, Md., where he helped introduce tobacco farming. Mr. Trossbach retired from Haverhill Construction in 2000, following health related issues. He enjoyed adult daycare, horse races, Dover Downs, fishing, crabbing and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Trossbach; two sons, Donnie Trossbach (Pat) of Sudlersville, Md., Brian Trossbach (Bobbie Jo) of Church Hill, Md.; two daughters: Karen Schauber (Pepsi) of Chestertown, Md., Patty Trossbach (Jane) of Chestertown; four brothers, Phillip Trossbach, Robert Trossbach, Richard Trossbach, Daniel Trossbach; two sisters: Lucille Sivak, Ida Lacey; grandchildren: Daphne, James, Angie, Chris, Kristen, Collin, Carly, Maddie; and great grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan, Alanna, Kylie and Tanner.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Shelley Walls, in 2016.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chestertown, Md. Interment was in Crumpton Cemetery.
