Louise Walls Skinner
CENTREVILLE — Louise Walls Skinner of Centreville died Friday June 30, 2017 at her home. She was 96.
Born on December 28, 1920 in Barclay, MD to the late W. Leonard Walls and Pearle Sparks Walls. She attended Sudlersville High School; graduat- ing class of 1937. She then continued her education at Beacom College; graduating in 1939. Mrs. Skinner began working in Wilmington, DE with the Discount and Credit Corporation. In 194142, she worked at the Queen Anne’s Welfare Board.
On November 16, 1940, she married John W. Skinner and resided near Ingleside. Mrs. Skinner remained home caring for their family and assisting with the family farm. After the kids were all in school, she began working at the Sudlersville Bank and later retired from Social Services in 1991, with 25 years of ser vice.
Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Ingleside and Queen Anne’s County Homemakers Clubs, and a lifetime member of St. Paul’s UMC, in Ingleside.
Mrs. Skinner is survived by three sons: John W. “Jerry” Skinner, Jr. (Linda) of Lincoln, DE, Eugene L. Skinner (Gail) of Cambridge, MD and Glenn A. Skinner of Lincoln, DE; daughter-in-law Suzanne Skinner of Ingleside, MD; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two greatgrandchildren. Her husband of 66 years predeceased her in 2007. She was also predeceased by a son Donald W.
