Louise Walls Skin­ner

CEN­TRE­VILLE — Louise Walls Skin­ner of Cen­tre­ville died Fri­day June 30, 2017 at her home. She was 96.

Born on De­cem­ber 28, 1920 in Bar­clay, MD to the late W. Leonard Walls and Pearle Sparks Walls. She at­tended Sudlersville High School; grad­uat- ing class of 1937. She then con­tin­ued her ed­u­ca­tion at Beacom Col­lege; grad­u­at­ing in 1939. Mrs. Skin­ner be­gan work­ing in Wilm­ing­ton, DE with the Dis­count and Credit Cor­po­ra­tion. In 194142, she worked at the Queen Anne’s Wel­fare Board.

On Novem­ber 16, 1940, she mar­ried John W. Skin­ner and resided near In­gle­side. Mrs. Skin­ner re­mained home car­ing for their fam­ily and as­sist­ing with the fam­ily farm. After the kids were all in school, she be­gan work­ing at the Sudlersville Bank and later re­tired from So­cial Ser­vices in 1991, with 25 years of ser vice.

Mrs. Skin­ner was a mem­ber of the In­gle­side and Queen Anne’s County Home­mak­ers Clubs, and a life­time mem­ber of St. Paul’s UMC, in In­gle­side.

Mrs. Skin­ner is sur­vived by three sons: John W. “Jerry” Skin­ner, Jr. (Linda) of Lin­coln, DE, Eu­gene L. Skin­ner (Gail) of Cam­bridge, MD and Glenn A. Skin­ner of Lin­coln, DE; daugh­ter-in-law Suzanne Skin­ner of In­gle­side, MD; eleven grand­chil­dren and twenty-two great­grand­chil­dren. Her hus­band of 66 years pre­de­ceased her in 2007. She was also pre­de­ceased by a son Don­ald W.
