Atlantic Broadband to offer fiber at Bay Bridge Cove

Record Observer - - NEWS -

STEVENSVILLE — Atlantic Broadband recently announced its expansion in Queen Anne’s County to include fiber to the home services for residents in the new community of Bay Bridge Cove. Atlantic Broadband will be the exclusive TV, internet and phone provider for this neighborhood and will leverage its extensive fiber network in the Eastern Shore area to deliver FTTH services to residents.

Plans for the 55+ Bay Bridge Cove community have been in development for the last few years, and residents for the first 20 homes sold will be moving in starting in August. Upon completion, Bay Bridge Cove will include 273 homes.

“Fiber has been integral to our network since we started providing services to the Delmar area in 2004. And, as Atlantic Broadband continues to expand its far-reaching fiber footprint along the Eastern Shore, we are pleased to be the first company to deliver FTTH services in Queen Anne’s County, in Bay Bridge Cove,” said Scott Randall, Atlantic Broadband’s Maryland/ Delaware vice president and general manager. “We look forward to working closely with Bay Bridge Cove to ensure that its residents enjoy reliable and powerful TV, Internet and Phone services that can scale to meet the ever-increasing consumer demand for bandwidth.”

“Atlantic Broadband has been an exemplary partner throughout the development of McKee Builder’s latest development — Bay Bridge Cove,” said Mick Kenney, vice president of New Homes, McKee Builders. “The FTTH enabled services from Atlantic Broadband are an even greater selling point for us, as buyers seek out a location based on many factors, but superior internet connection is certainly at the top of the list.”

Atlantic Broadband has been providing services to businesses and residential communities along the Eastern Shore since 2004, and its local office is in Grasonville.
