New show opens Satur­day at Cen­tre for the Arts

CENTREVILLE — The im­agery of graphic de­sign and dig­i­tal il­lus­tra­tion will be on dis­play at the Queen Anne’s County Cen­tre for the Arts in Centreville be­gin­ning July 15 in an ex­hi­bi­tion en­ti­tled, “Di­rec­tor’s Cir­cle.” Works from four na­tion­ally rec­og­nized de­sign­ers will be in­cluded in the show.

Jen­nifer Schus­ter is a graphic de­signer and web de­signer and a pro­fes­sor at Anne Arun­del Com­mu­nity Col­lege. She has un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree from James Madi­son Univer­sity and a mas­ter’s from Mary­land In­sti­tute of Art.

Au­drey McGuirk spe­cial­izes in dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing and has worked with large com­pa­nies and non­prof­its as they de­vel­oped their com­mu­ni­ca­tions strat­egy and brand­ing.

Bill Senge, with more than 35 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in graphic arts and mar­ket­ing, has served as the art di­rec­tor and de­signer for na­tion­ally and in­ter­na­tion­ally rec­og­nized ad­ver­tis­ing firms.

Arts Coun­cil Di­rec­tor Rick Stritt­mater has worked ex­ten­sively with ad­ver­tis­ing firms, cor­po­ra­tions, mu­se­ums and ex­hibit firms to de­velop mar­ket­ing pieces and com­mu­ni­ca­tions and brand­ing strate­gies. He is the prin­ci­ple of Black­pool De­sign Group.

Guests are in­vited to at­tend the open­ing cock­tail re­cep­tion from 7 to 9 p.m. Satur­day, July 15, at the Cen­tre for the Arts, 206 S. Com­merce St., Centreville.
