CEN­TRE­VILLE — Bette “Carolyn” Lar­ri­more of Cen­tre­ville, Md., died on Mon­day, July 17, 2017, at Anne Arun­del Med­i­cal Cen­ter. She was 51.

Born in Eas­ton on August 13, 1965, she was the daugh­ter of the late Don­ald Ma­son Lar­ri­more and Mar­garet Wil­lis Lar­ri­more.

A ded­i­cated em­ployee, Carolyn worked at the Po­sei­don and An­nie’s be­fore she started work­ing for Queen­stown Bank in Gra­sonville in 2002.

In 1983, she met the love of her life, Michael New­man, who pro­ceeded her in death in December 2013. She will be re­mem­bered by fam­ily, friends, co­work­ers, and cus­tomers who knew her for her out­go­ing, friendly and bub­bly per­son­al­ity and in­fec­tious laugh.

Carolyn en­joyed go­ing to the casino, shop­ping, trav­el­ing, and spend­ing time with her fam­ily.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren: Matthew New­man (Nazia) of El Ca­jon, Calif.; Lau­ren New­man of Cen­tre­ville, Md.; grand­daugh­ter, Henna Jan­jua of El Ca­jon, Calif.; her sis­ters: He­len Kati­nas (Mike) of Queen­stown, Md.; Dawn Ed­wards (Don­nie) of Queen Anne, Md.; Martha Lar­ri­more of Cen­tre­ville; mother-in-law, Elizabeth New­man of Cen­tre­ville; sis­ter-in-law, Elizabeth New­man; broth­ersin-law: David and Clif­ford New­man; beloved nieces: Ge­orgeanne McCreary (Walt); An­drea and Aliki Kati­nas; Maron War­ble (Adam); Jessica Beasley; great-neph­ews: Pey­ton McCreary; Emery War­ble; Everett Lar­ri­more; and an un­born great-niece War­ble who will be ar­riv­ing within the next month; her cat, Di­nah; and a host of lov­ing cousins. She was pre­ceded in death by her cher­ished nephew, Ma­son Lar­ri­more.

A fu­neral will be held at 11 a.m. on Satur­day, July 22, at the Fel­lows, Helfen­bein & New­nam Fu­neral Home, P.A. in Cen­tre­ville, MD, where friends and fam­ily may visit on Fri­day, July 21 from 6-8 p.m. Burial will fol­low at Wood­lawn Memo­rial Park in Eas­ton, MD.

Guests are en­cour­aged to wear bright col­ors as a re­flec­tion of Carolyn’s sparkling per­son­al­ity.

Her fam­ily re­quests that memo­rial con­tri­bu­tions be made to Com­pass Re­gional Hos­pice, 160 Cour­se­vall Dr., Cen­tre­ville, MD 21617, and ear­marked for the Camp New Dawn Pro­gram.
