Aug. 12 MSSA Youth Fish­ing Derby, spon­sored by the Kent Is­land Fish­er­men and Kent Is­land Es­tates Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion in mem­ory of Jon Bupp, at Ro­man­coke Pier, for ages 3 to 16. Reg­is­tra­tion at 8 a.m. Derby from 9 to 11 a.m. Re­fresh­ments and prizes, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kent Is­land Amer­i­can Le­gion. Par­tic­i­pants must be ac­com­pa­nied by a par­ent or adult.
