School board can­cels Au­gust work ses­sion

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion work ses­sion sched­uled for Aug. 16 has been can­celed. The next school board meet­ing will be Wed­nes­day, Sept. 6, at the Board of Ed­u­ca­tion meet­ing room at 202 Chester­field Av­enue. The board is ex­pected to go into closed ses­sion im­me­di­ately af­ter the meet­ing opens at 4:30 p.m.; open ses­sion will re­con­vene at 6 p.m.

Prior to the Sept. 6 meet­ing, the school board and mem­bers of the Queen Anne’s County Pub­lic Schools Ex­ec­u­tive Lead­er­ship Team will par­tic­i­pate in train­ing on Open Meet­ings and Ap­peals with the Mary­land As­so­ci­a­tion of Boards of Ed­u­ca­tion.
