CWN awards $12,250 in scholarships
STEVESNVILLE — The Chesapeake Women’s Network of Queen Anne’s County is proud to announce that the organization awarded scholarships in the amount of $12,250 to 14 deserving women.
The women are returning to, or beginning their college education to pursue further studies. The scholarships enable women who are deserving of assistance to further their education and better provide for their families.
At Harris Crabhouse on June 8, 2017 scholarships were awarded to the following recipients: Robin Arnold, Amy Bednar, Crystal Bennett, Christine Canary, Tracy Donaghue, Nichole Egerton, Catherine Leager, Patricia McBride, Lori Nash, Kelley Payne, Caroline Riley, Kayla Smith, Christina Szyperski and Somers Watson.
Queen Anne’s County CWN is an organization of professional women that seeks to facilitate enrichment and professional growth through communication and support while stimulating business opportunities for professional women in the community.
The organization’s main philanthropy is providing scholarships for women 21 years of age and older who live/or work in Queen Anne’s County, and are are returning to school in pursuit of further education. CWN firmly believes that helping women improve their circumstances and their financial futures through higher education.
