Faith Unity Fellowship hosts Community Day
CENTREVILLE — A community day of fun and fellowship was hosted by Faith Unity Fellowship Ministries, Saturday, July 22, at Millstream Park. The community was invited to participate in this free event with bounce house slides and food.
Team Autism and the Tooth Fair y dropped in for a visit, along with Head Start teacher Harriet Bell and the Queen Anne’s County Department of Health.
Faith Unity Fellowship Ministries is a Christian organization whose purpose is to provide an outreach ministry worldwide. To bring together the lost and those of different denominational backgrounds into one fellowship, and to bring together individuals disenchanted with the bureaucracy and politics of organized religion, according to Bishop Robert Pritchett.
Community Day is a chance for church members to reach out to members of the community and during this year’s event, they offered back packs and school supplies to whomever may have need.
The church at 208 New Street in Church Hill will host a tent revival Thursday and Friday, Aug. 10-11, at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 12, at 4 p.m a concert is planned at Liberty Lighthouse Church, 116 Liberty Lane, Chestertown.
The title, “A Transforming Power: To see. To hear. To do. To be a living sacrifice.”
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God — this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12: 1-2.
