SEPT. 20 Registration is required for the big event at the Library on Sept. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It is called Trivia Night and will involve bookish knowledge with teams of readers. This will include four rounds with teams of one to four people, and there will be first, second and third place prizes. This event is for those 21 and older and is BYOB. ••• LOBBY DISPLAY Look over the Chesapeake Booktelling Festival in the main display case in the front lobby. It will be held at Chesapeake College on Sept. 16.
••• GLASSES FOR THE
ECLIPSE Come to the Library on April 21 and get a pair of glasses to watch the nation’s total eclipse at 2 p.m. We will be holding a viewing party, as the eclipse will began at 2:43 p.m. across America. We will not be in the total eclipse area, but will be able to see part of it with 100 solar eclipse glasses available on the first-come, first-served basis. There will be 75 glasses available ahead of time and 25 reserved for the Aug. 21st day.

Cats and kittens, available for adoption, will be at the Library on Monday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you can’t come on that day, check out the Chesapeake Cats and Dogs website for more information about the Tree of Life Sanctuary and adoptable animals at www. chesapeakecantsanddogs. org.

••• MATINEE MOVIE The Library will show a free movie at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 titled, “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” and at the same time Sept. 8 will show “The Mummy.”
