Get ready for waterfowling with Delta’s 2017 Hunt Annual
Duck and goose broods are growing fast, and the birds soon will be stretching their wings to migrate south. Some good summer reading to prepare for the flight will be in the mail for Delta Waterfowl members this week with their 2017 Hunt Annual.
The year’s issue features stories such as “8 Diver Hunting Mistakes,” “Freelancing Canada,” and “Hidden Honeyholes.” If you’re ready to visit a prime waterfowling destination for a bucket-list hunt, there is a “Top Waterfowl Adventures” section.
The issue also is a guide to new waterfowl hunting gear, from decoys to calls, shotguns to ammo, waders to camo, boats and more. The only way to receive Delta Waterfowl magazine and its annual hunt issue is to join the club (deltawaterfowl.org).
What’s the difference between Delta Waterfowl and Ducks Unlimited? That’s a topic for chat rooms, but they’re both fine nonprofit organizations that work hard to conser ve and preserve our natural resources and the great outdoors.
Delta Waterfowl’s annual Mid-Shore Chapter banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Laurel, Delaware, fire department. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6.
