Har­ris sets academy fo­rum

WYE MILLS — On Wed­nes­day, Sept. 20, the of­fice of U.S. Rep. Andy Har­ris, R-Md.-1st, will host a Mil­i­tary Ser­vice Academy Re­source Fo­rum for high school stu­dents in Mary­land’s First Con­gres­sional Dis­trict.

All col­lege-bound high school and eighth-grade stu­dents in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing a ser­vice academy and their par­ents are en­cour­aged to at­tend the event, which will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Todd Per­form­ing Arts Cen­ter at Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege.

Har­ris has in­vited rep­re­sen­ta­tives from West Point and the Air Force, Coast Guard, Mer­chant Marine and Naval Acad­e­mies to at­tend.

The dead­line to ap­ply for a nom­i­na­tion from Har­ris is Oct. 30. Stu­dents can down­load the nom­i­na­tion ap­pli­ca­tion at https://har­ris.house. gov/ser vices/mil­i­tar y-academy-nom­i­na­tions.
