CENTREVILLE — Reg­is­tra­tion will be re­quired for Trivia Night at the Li­brary from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 20.

This event of book­ish knowl­edge will fea­ture four rounds with first, sec­ond and third place prizes. Teams can be made up of one to four peo­ple. The night is for those 21 and older and is a BYOB event. Fin­ger foods and wa­ter will be avail­able.

CENTREVILLE — Com­puter skills for even the basic re­cruit will be taught at the Centreville Branch of the Queen Anne’s County Li­brary through the month of Septem­ber.

Reg­is­tra­tion will be re­quired for the Com­puter Boot Camp over four days start­ing Sept. 25. You will be able to jump­start your tech skills with these classes. Each ses­sion will be­gin at 9 a.m. and run for 45 min­utes.

On Sept. 25, it will be Mouse and Key­board drills. Sept. 26, we will have nav­i­gat­ing Win­dows. We will ex­plore the in­ter­net on Sept. 27; and on Sept. 28, it will be In­ter­net Search Tac­tics.

The Li­brary will hold one-on-one com­puter class work­shops two days where yo up­ick your own time and topic. CENTREVILLE — The Queen Anne’s Soil Con­ser­va­tion District in part­ner­ship with the lo­cal USDA – Nat­u­ral Re­sources Con­ser­va­tion Ser­vice will host the an­nual Lo­cal Work Group Meeting sched­uled for Tues­day, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. at the QASCD Of­fice, 211 E. Wa­ter Street in Centreville.

The SCD will be seek­ing as­sis­tance in de­ter­min­ing what prac­tices or sys­tems should re­ceive pri­or­ity fund­ing for Fis­cal Year 2018. Dis­cus­sion will in­clude a re­view of cur­rent fis­cal year de­ci­sions and pro­vide in­put on pri­or­i­tiz­ing lo­cal nat­u­ral re­source con­cerns for 2018 in Queen Anne’s County and statewide across all USDA-NRCS Farm Bill Pro­gram.

CENTREVILLE — Spend a fall Sun­day af­ter­noon with Kath­leen Wil­son at the Queen Anne’s County Li­brary in Centreville and her pro­gram of “Crime and a Cuppa.”
