Seven re­turn­ing se­niors in­clude Al­lMid-Shore first-team play­ers Gabrielle Corder, Paige Mitchell, and Sara Wal­ford. Corder and Mitchell are ex­pected to lead the de­fense and mid­field, re­spec­tively, this year. Sec­ond-team All-MidShore player Emily Lane­hart re­turns to tend the net. Other starters in­clude Kaitlin Karns, MacKenzie Man­des, Casey Sweitzer, Sarah Bowyer, Emma Cov­ing­ton, Emma Caulk, and Katie Ray. Gun­ston With a large ros­ter, in­clud­ing five re­turn­ing se­niors, the Herons should be com­pet­i­tive in the East­ern Shore In­de­pen­dent Ath­letic Con­fer­ence.

“We are look­ing for­ward to a com­pet­i­tive year ... girls have worked very hard this sum­mer and dur­ing pre­sea­son,” head coach Ali­son DeFino said.
