Grasonville Elementary celebrates Constitution Day
GRASONVILLE — On Friday, Sept. 15, Grasonville Elementar y celebrated Constitution Day. The morning started with Grasonville students marching out to the school’s flagpoles. Patriotic music filled the air as students paraded the bus loop, dressed in patriotic colors to celebrate this special day.
The ceremony started with Principal Carol Kamp inviting the students to stand and sing the “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Then, selected students discussed the meaning of our country’s constitution with the rest of the school and shared why they love and appreciate America.
The gathering ended with the school reciting the Pledge of Allegiance together.
Fourth-grade student, Hannah Reedy reflected on the ceremony. She said, “I think it is important that we celebrate the Constitution because it shows the rules of our country and how to follow them. We live in a good country.”
