Es­tate Trea­sures fash­ion show set for Oct. 16

GRA­SONVILLE — Mon­day, Oct. 16, is the date for the 26th an­nual Es­tate Trea­sures Fash­ion Show. Pro­ceeds from the Fash­ion Show will ben­e­fit hos­pice care and grief support of­fered through Compass Re­gional Hos­pice.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at Prospect Bay Coun­try Club in Gra­sonville. Guests will en­joy a cash bar and shop­ping at the up­scale bou­tique, which will fea­ture women’s cloth­ing and fash­ion ac­ces­sories sold at Es­tate Trea­sures.

“We are very for­tu­nate to have re­ceived many ex­quis­ite fash­ions, in­clud­ing furs and fine jew­elry pieces, that will be fea­tured at the bou­tique and mod­eled in this year’s show,” said Es­tate Trea­sures vol­un­teer Deb­bie Dean.

A sit-down lunch will be served at noon. Fol­low­ing lunch, Es­tate Trea­sures vol­un­teers and Compass Re­gional Hos­pice staff will model fash­ions in­spired by clas­sic French de­sign­ers, which will re­flect the Fash­ion Show’s French theme: “Oui-Oui E.T.”

Other fun planned for fash­ion show guests will in­clude bid­ding on si­lent and live auc­tions items, as well as brows­ing the bake sale, where guests will find home­made baked goods.

The win­ner of the Es­tate Trea­sures crab feast raf­fle also will be cho­sen dur­ing the Fash­ion Show. The win­ner need not be present to win.

The crab feast will in­clude two bushels of steamed crabs, two gal­lons of home­made crab soup, a bushel of fresh corn on the cob and toma­toes, four cases of beer, 40 pieces of fried chicken and two 2.5-gal­lon tubs of Rita’s Ital­ian Ice.

Raf­fle tick­ets are $10 each or three for $25. Crab feast raf­fle tick­ets can be pur­chased at Es­tate Trea­sures or Compass Re­gional Hos­pice.

Es­tate Trea­sures is an up­scale re­sale shop that raises funds to help off­set the un­funded hos­pice care and grief support ser­vices of­fered through Compass Re­gional Hos­pice.

Es­tate Trea­sures is lo­cated at 17 Kent Towne Mar­ket in Ch­ester. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mon­day through Satur­day, with ex­tended hours un­til 6 p.m. on Wed­nes­day. All re­tail sales are tax-free.

Do­na­tions of clean, gen­tly used items in good con­di­tion are ac­cepted dur­ing store hours.
