KI girls’ soc­cer pro­motes Breast Cancer Aware­ness

The Kent Is­land High girls’ soc­cer team wore pink on Tues­day night in its game against North Caro­line to help pro­mote breast cancer aware­ness. The Buc­ca­neers won, 2-0. In Tues­day night’s win, K. K. Karnes scored off a Grace Schilling as­sist. Ally Heath scored the sec­ond Buc­ca­neer goal, tak­ing a feed from McKen­zie Mo­gel. Madi Banks made nine saves, post­ing her fourth shutout of the sea­son as Kent Is­land im­proved to 7-2 over­all, 6-0 North Bay­side. The Buc­ca­neers visit Kent County at 7 p.m., at Wash­ing­ton Col­lege, in Ch­ester­town. A win would give Kent Is­land this year’s North Bay­side divi­sional ti­tle.
