Winners named for ‘Around the Town’
ST. MICHAELS — The St. Michaels Art League is pleased to announce the winners of the judged art show “Around the Town.”
The first place winner is Sandy Alanko, “Sunset from the Drawbridge.” Second place is Kathie Rogers for “Flow Blue,” and third place went to Arlene Zachmann for “Autumn on the Porch.” Honorable mentions were also awarded to Leah Bell for “Pride”; Camille Woodbury for “Fall Leaves”; and Anne Allbeury Hock for “Bar Neck Cove House.”
Brad Ross served as judge for the show. Ross has won many regional awards for his portraits and plein air painting. He is currently teaching oil painting at Academy Arts Museum in Easton.
This show will be on exhibit through the end of October at the St. Michaels Library, located at 106 Fremont St. The artwork can be seen during Library hours, Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ;and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
Artwork may be purchased by contacting the artist directly.
