QA So­cial Ser­vices hosts 2nd an­nual Fam­ily Fun Day

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Depart­ment of So­cial Ser­vices hosted a free fam­ily fun day on June 20 be­hind its of­fice at 125 Comet Drive.

QACDSS Di­rec­tor Su­san Cop­page said, “Our goal was to pro­vide a free event for fam­i­lies to spend qual­ity time to­gether mak­ing the sec­ond an­nual Fam­ily Fun Day a huge suc­cess.”

Free ham­burg­ers and hot dogs were pro­vided by Doc’s River­side Grille, along with free pop­corn, ice pops and cot­ton candy. Fun for the kids in­cluded face paint­ing, a pet­ting zoo, life-size Jenga, Jumbo Con­nect Four, moon bounces an in­flat­able slide and bal­loons. QACDSS thanked Doc’s, Acme-Cen­tre­ville, Tents 4 Rent, Shore Party Rental, Do­minic’s Farm and Food Lion in Cen­tre­ville for their sup­port and spon­sor­ship.
