Crash in Sudlersville, one in­jured

SUDLERSVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice is con­tin­u­ing the in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a sin­gle ve­hi­cle that hap­pened around noon July 6 near Lea­ger Road and Sudlersville Road in Sudlersville.

Queen Anne’s Emer­gency Ser­vices per­son­nel found a 19-year-old May­del man in a Hyundai pas­sen­ger car in the field. The driver was flown to the Univer­sity of Mary­land Shock Trauma to re­ceive treat­ment for his in­juries. By Wedne­day, July 11, he had been re­leased from the hos­pi­tal, a hos­pi­tal spokesman said.

Ac­cord­ing to Cpl. Brad Martz, the pre­lim­i­nary in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­di­cates the driver lost con­trol of his car and drove off the road into the field.The ve­hi­cle bear­ing a Mis­sis­sippi reg­is­tra­tion, was dis­abled and re­moved by a tow com­pany. The Sher­iff’s Of­fice re­con­struc­tion team is con­duct­ing fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion into the crash.


The driver of this car was in­jured when he lost con­trol and crashed into a field.
