July 16 “Wild West: The Mys­tery of the Golden Piano with Sciencetellers,” 10:30 a.m., at Kent Is­land Li­brary, for ages 4 to 10. Jour­ney to the Wild West, where a leg­endary back rob­bing out­law is back in town. Af­ter the sher­iff mys­te­ri­ously van­ishes it is up to two kids to foil the heist. Through­out the ad­ven­ture story, vol­un­teers from the au­di­ence will help ex­plore the sci­ence be­hind chem­i­cal re­ac­tions, acids and bases, com­bus­tion and more. Free.
