Artisans sought for festival set for Chesapeake College
WYE MILLS — The Centreville Rotary will be holding its 47th annual Artisans Festival at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills on Oct. 6 and 7. Artisans and crafters with original work for sale are sought to participate in the show at Chesapeake College. For the second year in a row Centreville Rotary is partnering with Chesapeake College.
There will be 10x10 indoor spaces available for both days for $110 with an additional charge for spaces with electricity, $10, in the multi-purpose area in the Health Professions and Athletics Center. Spaces with electricity are limited. Additional 8x5 indoor spaces are available in Caroline Center for both days for $80. Outdoor spaces between the Caroline College Center and HPCA are available for $60 for both days and $40 for one day. All spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. Outdoor space is also available for food vendors and for nonprofit organizations. Security is being provided by Chesapeake College for both Saturday and Sunday.
Application for the festival is available by contacting Bob Hardy at hardyp4i@gmail. com. Both the application and rules for the festival will be sent to vendors via electronic mail or USPS mail.
Admittance to the festival is free, but donations are welcomed. Proceeds from this annual community event support local youth scholarships, operation of the regional shelter for victims of domestic violence, participation in the Rotary worldwide project to eradicate polio and Lifetime Wells for Ghana, a clean water project in Africa.
More than 50 artists from throughout the Delmarva Peninsula will exhibit a wide range of talents and treasures. Included in the original offerings are paintings, pottery, basketry, stained glass, wood carving, jewelry, photography and much more.
