Ar­ti­sans sought for fes­ti­val set for Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege

WYE MILLS — The Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary will be hold­ing its 47th an­nual Ar­ti­sans Fes­ti­val at Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege in Wye Mills on Oct. 6 and 7. Ar­ti­sans and crafters with orig­i­nal work for sale are sought to par­tic­i­pate in the show at Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege. For the sec­ond year in a row Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary is part­ner­ing with Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege.

There will be 10x10 in­door spa­ces avail­able for both days for $110 with an ad­di­tional charge for spa­ces with elec­tric­ity, $10, in the multi-pur­pose area in the Health Pro­fes­sions and Ath­let­ics Cen­ter. Spa­ces with elec­tric­ity are lim­ited. Ad­di­tional 8x5 in­door spa­ces are avail­able in Caro­line Cen­ter for both days for $80. Out­door spa­ces be­tween the Caro­line Col­lege Cen­ter and HPCA are avail­able for $60 for both days and $40 for one day. All spa­ces are avail­able on a first come, first serve ba­sis. Out­door space is also avail­able for food ven­dors and for non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tions. Se­cu­rity is be­ing pro­vided by Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege for both Satur­day and Sun­day.

Ap­pli­ca­tion for the fes­ti­val is avail­able by con­tact­ing Bob Hardy at hardyp4i@gmail. com. Both the ap­pli­ca­tion and rules for the fes­ti­val will be sent to ven­dors via elec­tronic mail or USPS mail.

Ad­mit­tance to the fes­ti­val is free, but do­na­tions are wel­comed. Pro­ceeds from this an­nual com­mu­nity event sup­port lo­cal youth schol­ar­ships, op­er­a­tion of the re­gional shel­ter for vic­tims of do­mes­tic vi­o­lence, par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Ro­tary world­wide project to erad­i­cate po­lio and Lifetime Wells for Ghana, a clean wa­ter project in Africa.

More than 50 artists from through­out the Del­marva Penin­sula will ex­hibit a wide range of tal­ents and trea­sures. In­cluded in the orig­i­nal of­fer­ings are paint­ings, pot­tery, bas­ketry, stained glass, wood carv­ing, jew­elry, photography and much more.
