1. Tony Romo

By most accounts, former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is a hit in his new job as CBS’ lead NFL color commentator. Romo is on TV, making big bucks, and, best of all, J.J. Watt isn’t trying to take his head off.

2. Kobe’s jerseys

The Los Angeles Lakers announced they would retire both the No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys, which were worn by Kobe Bryant throughout his career. It’s a rare feat, no doubt. Just to sweeten the deal, the Lakers promised that Bryant’s jerseys would hang nowhere near the retired jersey of Shaquille O’Neal.

3. Cleveland Indians

The Indians’ winning streak reached 22 games, passing that of the “Moneyball” Oakland Athletics’ streak of 2002. One day, a movie can be made about this Indians team. But Francisco Lindor, Andrew Miller and Corey Kluber won’t be mentioned in the script. Instead, Brad Pitt will play a genius general manager who takes all the credit.

4. Field marriage

Bishop Woods, a Murray State defensive lineman, and his fiancée, Cailin Myers, were married after practice Tuesday this week. The ceremony was officiated by Woods’ coach. No doubt football will be a big part of this marriage. Good luck, ma’am.
