Dog exposed to rabies after carrying dead bat into Henrico residence
Henrico County has reported its first positive rabies case of 2018.
On Wednesday, Henrico officials said a dog carried a dead bat into its house in the 6600 block of West Franklin Street.
The bat, which was tested at the state lab, tested positive for rabies.
Officials said the dog will be quarantined at its home.
