In the only meet­ing be­tween the clubs to date, Rich­mond and At­lanta played to a 1-1 draw at City Sta­dium on July 21. Jon Gal­lagher scored for At­lanta; Brian Shriver scored for Rich­mond. ... Rich­mond (6-234) will con­clude the sea­son in 15th place in the East­ern Con­fer­ence, next to last. The Kick­ers also fin­ished sec­ond to last in the con­fer­ence last sea­son. With a 1-14-1 record on the road, the Kick­ers are up against the odds to buck their nine-game win­less streak at At­lanta. With last Satur­day’s 3-0 loss to Nashville SC, the Kick­ers were shut out for a fifth time dur­ing the streak. The Kick­ers’ last win came Aug. 18 in a 3-2 vic­tory against Penn FC at City Sta­dium. ... At­lanta (6-17-10) en­ters on a three-game un­beaten streak, its best run in the USL since it started its in­au­gu­ral sea­son with a four-game un­beaten streak. The cur­rent run has fea­tured ties against Tampa Bay and Pitts­burgh and a 2-1 win over play­off-bound Charles­ton on Sun­day. At­lanta will fin­ish in 14th place no mat­ter the re­sult Satur­day. Gal­lagher, in his rookie year, leads the team with six goals. Ro­mario Wil­liams, who has played in 16 games for At­lanta United in the MLS this sea­son, has four goals for the USL club, in­clud­ing two last week­end against Charles­ton.
