With a light calendar, the House spent most of its second floor session honoring McClellan, a Richmond Democrat who will be seated today in the state Senate after winning a special election this week.

Democratic colleagues lauded McClellan as a strong advocate for women and civil rights. More strikingly, the commendations continued on the Republican side of the room.
